Mini-bus attended woman during hot summer days

2010 Aug 2, Monday

July for most of us – a holiday month, but this is not the case for the pink ribbon mini-bus. During the month it visited Pasvalys, Biržai, Kupiškis, Panevėžys, Ukmergė, Ignalina, Šalčininkai, Marijampolė, Prienai, Pakruojis and Joniškis municipalities. Women enjoyed opportunity to check by mini-bus doctors during July, because some of them can not leave their workplaces during job hours.

Within 16 working days of mini-bus there were found 8 malignant tumor and 156 – benign tumor cases. Benign tumours were diagnosed for a part of women from all municipalities. Woman from Pasvalys, Kupiskis, Ukmergė, Marijampolė and Pakruojis were joyful – no malignant tumors were found. Unfortunately, it was not the case speaking about the rest municipalities.

Women continue to surprise with their ingenuity when meeting pink ribbon bus crew. In Marijampolė a stand with children‘s wishes “Letter to Mummy” was made. Women from Joniškis came to self-examination lessons well dressed as if they were going to a feast.

We are glad that women became more focused on their health. Besides listening to the lessons, they actively ask questions. Some of them, for example in Pakruojis, came to check for a second time, because mini-bus visited the town last year. After self-examination lessons woman promise to apply self-examinations lessons at least once per month.
