Almost 400 schoolchildren from Plunge academic A.Jucys school took part in the action

Almost 400 schoolchildren from Plunge academic Adolfas Jucys school joined the action “A Thousand Cranes”. They have folded a magic number of cranes – 2012. Hopefully, the cranes that were folded by warm and caring hands of this school will give an optimism, hope and faith to everyone.

The community of the school supports the idea of this action and thanks for inviting them to take part in it.

Girls from Vilnius Kids’ Socializing Center Gladly Joined the Project

Twelve the most active girls from Vilnius kids’ socializing center gladly joined the project “Do Not Delay”. Girls were folding 1030 cranes totally: 384 out of the rose paper, 1 blue-colored and 646 white cranes. They expressed their joy for the success to fold very tiny cranes. Every participant hopes that paper birds will give Hope, Support ad Health for sick people. Participants thanks for the invitiation to join the action and wishes to be a part of it next year.

A Letter from Kaunas Simonas Daukantas secondary school

Participants from Kaunas Simonas Daukantas secondary school had been folding paper cranes during the breaks between lessons as well as at home. Approximately 100 children took part in this process. Everyone wanted to make cranes as fast as possible because they believe these cranes will give a Hope to sick people. They have folded 644 cranes from newspapers and 356 from the pink paper. The newspaper cranes were used to put them into the word A HOPE.

The letter from Alytus region Miroslavas secondary school had arrived.

“Hello. The community of our school is happy to take part in this action. While there frost is freezing so hard outside all teachers were folding cranes. It was warming everyone up. We hope that our generosity will be passed by cranes to those who need it the most. When schoolchildren come back to schools we will continue to make cranes all together.

The Trees of Life in Pilviskiai high school “Santaka”

Vilkaviškis region Pilviskiai high school “Santaka” children are very happy for the possibility to take part in the action “Thousand Cranes”. Children with huge enthusiasm are folding paper cranes. There are over 1500 done already. One thousand had left for Vilnius and from the rest of cranes children are creating Trees of life that will be give to Pilviskiai, Vilkaviskis clinics and hospitals. There is a sense of hope that folded cranes will bring happiness and good health for those who need it the most.

The registration to receive paper for the action “A Thousand Cranes” is suspended

The registration to receive paper for the action “A Thousand Cranes” is suspended due the huge number of participants. We are happy to see over 380 schools that announced its participation in this action. There will be a prize for the school that will make the biggest number of cranes. There is almost all February dedicated for this action. Paper cranes intend settle down in the Oncology sectors all over the country’s hospitals.

Panevezys school Viltis indends doing good work. Schoolchildren already started to make paper cranes from white paper and looking forward to receive a pink paper from our office. Pupils are creating miracles! There are already over 300 cranes made in the 3c class. This is not the end they said. Parents and teachers are involved in this action as well.

We have received a message from Danute Kunciene (Kaunas).

“I use to take part in the Pink Action “May My Town Bloom”. This year I have missed it and haven’t sent pictures to you. Although there are always flowers by my window just they are different from the summer time. In meantime I have replaced summer flowers with herbarium sheet hoping it may be interesting for women. I wish a beautiful Advent to all of you and may our Christmas Eve dinner will be calm and peaseful.”

Utena region took part in the Pink Action as well

Women’s Center “Ievos namai” and Nijole Rimkeviciene, the good will ambassador in Utena region had initiated two Pink Actions: a Pink Ribbon and a Pink Shelf. 6 schools and libraries took part in it.

Nijole Rimkeviciene sincerely thanks to the schools that had organized Pink Actions in its communities, that invited schoolchildren of different ages to take part in the Pink Ribbon action, as well as to the libraries, that joined the idea of the Pink Shelf.
